Hats are back!
Spicy margs + Old Fashioneds join the line up
Attention all: COCKTAIL CAPS ARE BACK!!
Last year, I teamed up with my friend Jimmy Lambert of Okaicos to bring you limited edition caps with my favorite cocktails on them: the spritz and the martini. Now, I’m beyond thrilled that I get to do this again—only this time with a couple more of my go-to cocktails: a spicy margarita and Old Fashioned, in BRAND NEW styles.
While last year’s launch of the martini and spritz was more successful than I could have imagined, I wanted to try something new — both with design and style. So, I opted for all black to make the colors of these colorful cocktails pop, in a trucker and more relaxed “dad” fit.
But, I’m a writer, why am I all of a sudden selling hats?
In case you’re new here, I’ve always loved tiny details and minimalism. Amidst the masses of branded hats that I’ve collected from trips over the years, the ones I end up wearing most are the classic colors with one word, shape or design on them. As I entered the drinks space more professionally, I thought it would be fun to rock a hat with an outline of a martini on it. That first prototype was scratched as it was too minimal, but my idea eventually evolved to the dirty martini accented with olives that’s currently on my navy hats (a few still in stock).
The idea evolved from there.
Basically this project is a fusion of my worlds: travel and drinks, from city to seaside.
And why these two cocktails?
Some folks go-to beach drink is a piña colada, I’ve always favored a perfectly balanced spicy marg — where the tajin rim complements the salty air. Destination inspo: Cabo, Turks & Caicos, BVI.
An Old Fashioned warms me from the inside out, whether it’s a snowy winter day or I have a chill in the summer from AC blasting — it’s a hug in a glass. Destination inspo: NYC, London, TN.
